Due to COVID-19 health concerns, this one-time online event has been approved by APT for 3 CONTACT CE Hours.
This online training is designed to support the integrity and skills of the Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. Ms. Krull will review the increased responsibilities of the RPT-S as it relates to enhancing the skill development and professional growth of the RPT. The importance of "gatekeeping" will be discussed, and the challenges of telehealth supervision will be reviewed. Participants are encouraged to bring their questions, thoughts, and concerns to the instruction.
Following the workshop, participants will be able to:
· Explain the difference between play therapy supervision and play therapy consultation
· Identify the advanced criteria for supervision based on APT's ethical guidelines and discuss their role as play therapy supervisors.
· Identify the importance of "gatekeeping" in play therapy supervision
· Demonstrate skills useful in executing forms for play therapy supervision
